Founded in October 2020, Monhegans embodies the vision of its 16-year-old founder, Rachel Burns, whose lifelong passion for fashion led to the creation of our brand. The name Monhegans, inspired by a captivating book about Monhegan Island, Maine, reflects Rachel's enchantment with storytelling and style. On May 1st, 2024, we proudly opened our first storefront in the historic and beautiful downtown New Albany, Indiana, USA.

Our collection at Monhegans mirrors Rachel's distinctive taste, blending coastal New England charm with a touch of country and Southern allure, a reflection of our Indiana roots. Each garment is DESIGNED by Rachel and crafted with care, inviting you to embrace a wardrobe that speaks to your unique style and personality.
